You can take a train to get to Bangalore Airport from nearby locations. The closest railroad station to the airport is Yelahanka. Between the railway station and the airport, passengers can use a shuttle service that runs in tandem with train schedules.
Yelahanka Train Station
Approximately 25 km from Bangalore City and 19 km from Bangalore Airport, Yelahanka Railway Station is an Indian Railways station on the outskirts of Bangalore in the Indian state of Karnataka. Located on the Guntakal-Bangalore line is this station.
It is a junction for the lines connecting the Guntakal-Bangalore section, the Bangalore-Kolar line, and one line that runs via Krishnarajapuram to the Bangalore City line and Chennai Central.
You can take a shuttle from the airport to Yelahanka Train Station to get to the train station from BLR. Any of the 12 Vayu Vajra lines will take you to Bangalore Railway Station. It would be best to get off at Mekhri Circle, 7 km from Bangalore City Junction Railway Station. Considering it is a short distance, you can take a taxi.
The trip takes about two hours in total. The bus station at Bangalore Airport is located behind the terminal building. The distance is only a short stroll away. The standard fare per passenger is ₹200.
